Sony is announcing its LinkBuds S earbuds is now available for pre-order for $200. These buds offer actice noise cancellation and super lightweight at 4. 8g per bud and they’ll arrive in white and black versions, along with a beige version exclusively at Best Buy. <\/p>\n

The LinkBuds S features an ambient mode so the wearer can hear their surroundings, and support for Sony’s high-quality LDAC Bluetooth codec. The “Link” part is that they are earbuds you can wear throughout the day to “link” your digital life with the sound of reality. <\/p>\n

They are rated for six hours of listening time with ANC on, and can last up to 20 hours when accounting for the charging case’s battery life. They are also IPX4 rated for water resistance. <\/p>\n

Last month, we reported that Sony was going to release a new pair of earbuds under the LinkBuds branding. These are Sony’s new open-ring earbuds. They don’t block sound from surrounding noises but deliver sound through an open diaphragm, which allows for full audio transparency. The LinkBuds S is a more conventional earbud without the LinkBuds’ open ring design. <\/p>\n
