It retains a lot of the DNA of its 2021 predecessors but comes with a couple of major upgrades that we&#8217;ll go over before handing the phone to our review team.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Samsung Galaxy A53 5G hands-on &amp; key features\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nYfGdBiqyCc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The company decided to keep the overall look of the camera bump for the quad-cam setup, and this year\u2019s phones also have lovely colors &#8211; our unit came in Awesome Peach. It appears orange or gold depending on the lighting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/22\/04\/samsung-galaxy-a53-in-for-review\/inline\/-1200w5\/gsmarena_002.jpg\" alt=\"Samsung Galaxy A53 in for review\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Sadly, the Galaxy A53 does not have an adapter in the retail box in most countries much like the cheaper Galaxy A13 we welcomed recently. There\u2019s only a SIM ejector pin and a USB-C to USB-C cable.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/22\/04\/samsung-galaxy-a53-in-for-review\/inline\/-1200w5\/gsmarena_004.jpg\" alt=\"Samsung Galaxy A53 in for review\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The phone weighs 189 grams and has the same 6.5\u201d Super AMOLED panel as the Galaxy A52s. Which is a good thing considering that it is a vibrant and bright display.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/22\/04\/samsung-galaxy-a53-in-for-review\/inline\/-1200w5\/gsmarena_003.jpg\" alt=\"Samsung Galaxy A53 in for review\"\/><\/p>\n<p>There are two significant changes in the Galaxy A53 &#8211; the first being the Exynos 1280 chipset, which is making its debut here. Samsung hasn&#8217;t officially detailed its latest mid-range chipset, but we now know its CPU has four performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency units clocked at 2.0GHz.<\/p>\n<p>The other noteworthy improvement Samsung brought is the 5,000 mAh battery.
