The update addresses an unintended modification to Malenia, Blade of Miquella&#8217;s notoriously hard boss. Malenia has never experienced defeat. (Well, not <em>never<\/em>.) She has lost her self-healing abilities, so she must hit people with her sword in order to recover health. <\/p>\n<p >Players discovered earlier this month that patch 1. 04 for <em>Elden Ring<\/em> introduced a new bug for Malenia that affected players who had been summoned to aid others in co-op play. If Malenia attacked a summoned player, regardless of whether she made contact with them, she&#8217;d restore her own health. This was not FromSoftware\u2019s intent.
