World of Warcraft mod Epsilon allows players to create custom worlds<\/div>\n

The World of Warcraft has been going on for over 16 years, so it\u2019s no surprise it\u2019s become enormous. The game spans several continents, planes of reality, and thanks to the addition of World of Warcraft<\/em> Classic<\/em> and Burning Crusade Classic<\/em>, even previous iterations of itself.<\/p>\n

For some fans, though, all of these flavors of Warcraft still don\u2019t quite scratch the itch. Hence, some have gone on to create their own extension to World of Warcraft<\/em> in a project called Epsilon<\/a>. This isn\u2019t a traditional private server, like previous fan projects, or an alternate take on World of Warcraft<\/em>\u2019s gameplay. Instead, it\u2019s a tool that allows players to build their own instances and create their own worlds, Warcraft-themed or otherwise. <\/p>\n

Epsilon can be downloaded and played now. And it is, for many fans, the role-play hub they\u2019ve always wanted but has never been supported by Blizzard. The volunteer team on Epsilon has focused on adding and moderating infrastructure for player housing, world building, NPC creation, and character customization \u2014 features that are sorely wanted by many World of Warcraft<\/em> players, but have yet to arrive in the game itself. Epsilon is not a direct competitor with the base game; it simply takes inspiration from the world of Azeroth and gives its components to fans for whatever use they\u2019d like.<\/p>\n
