Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra survives durability test

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra survives durability test

Some larger smartphones and tablets are not that rigid and bend under excessive force. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra brings a massive 14. 6-inch display and is a mere 5. 5mm thick so you’d assume it may not fare that well in terms of structural rigidity. Famed YouTuber JerryRigEverything decided to test out the largest Samsung tablet to date in his usual durability test to see if it will survive in one piece.

The 14. 6-inch Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is made from glass and scratches at a level six on Mohs hardness scale. Samsung added an in-display fingerprint scanner to the Tab S8 Ultra which still works after serious levels of scratches with level 7 Mohs mineral picks. As demonstrated by close contact with razor blades, the sides and back of the Tab S119 Ultra are made out of metal.

Interestingly the larger S Pen stylus bundled with the tablet actually houses the same sized internal hardware as the S Pens found in Samsung’s Galaxy Note series and the S22 Ultra but with a plastic spacer to fill up the larger internal structure. Last in line is the all-important bend test where the Tab S8 Ultra flexes a bit but manages to retain its rigidity without snapping.

How Samsung’s Bespoke Jet™ Cordless Vacuum Makes Spring Cleaning a Breeze

How Samsung’s Bespoke Jet™ Cordless Vacuum Makes Spring Cleaning a Breeze – Samsung Global Newsroom

Cleanliness and home hygiene have become top-of-mind in light of our current global circumstances. Furthermore, as more and more people are working from home, keeping your home hygienic has become especially important.

Whether you’re cleaning to keep away allergens, cleaning on a tight schedule or simply cleaning up after pets, you can master your spring cleaning with help from Samsung Electronics’ Bespoke Jet™.

A Hygienic Start to Spring Cleaning

Getting started on the laundry list of things to get done for spring cleaning can be daunting. But when you’re ready to start, so is the Bespoke Jet™.

With its cutting-edge All-in-One Clean Station™, the Jet is automatically emptied and recharged after each use. Samsung’s unique Air Pulse technology cleans out the dustbin while ensuring that fine dust and particles don’t escape back into your home thanks to an advanced filtration system that traps 99.999% of fine dust.1

Even while vacuuming, the Bespoke Jet™ uses an advanced Multi-Layered Filtration System that, like the one in the All-in-One Clean Station™, traps 99.999%2 of dust particles and fine dust,3 so you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that only clean air is being released from your Jet.

Big Power for Big Messes

Spring cleaning can be an extra chore if you have to do it multiple times. If you haven’t got round to vacuuming in a while, you need a device that has all the power you need to get the job done.

The Bespoke Jet™ is designed with a powerful Digital Inverter Motor that supplies up to 210W4 of suction power. Inside, a Jet Cyclone flow structure makes the most of this suction power to effectively pick up particles from start to finish while minimizing suction loss, removing the need to vacuum over the same area multiple times.

All you need to do for those areas that need a bit more care than others is to set the power to max and vacuum with ease.

The Lightweight Champ for Cleaning After Pets

While chasing your pets around the house can be fun, cleaning after them from room to room can be a pain in the neck and the back.

Vacuuming pet hair and dander is part of any pet owner’s daily routine, and is especially important to keep up for anyone suffering with allergies. What’s more, with springtime just around the corner and seasonal irritants on the rise, a lack of thorough cleaning could result in suboptimal living conditions.

In order to mitigate this, it is essential for any pet owner to have a lightweight vacuum cleaner that can get into all the nooks and crannies, just like your pets. Cleaning from spot to spot is easier with the Bespoke Jet™ thanks to its lightweight design weighing 24% less5 than other vacuums. You can easily glide from the floor, to carpets, to underneath the couch, and even behind your desk without any strain on your back.

The optional Pet Tool’s brush attachment is another way to take the hassle out of cleaning pet fur. A rubber nozzle combined with bristles helps to pick up even thin, easy-to-miss pet hair from around the house.

With the Bespoke Jet™, you can spend more time playing with your pets and less time stressing over their mess.

Long-Lasting Power When Cleaning on a Tight Schedule

On average, it is recommended that people should vacuum the most frequently used areas in the home, such as floors and furniture, around once a week,6 with each vacuum session varying from minutes to hours depending on the size of the space. But for those extra-long cleaning sessions, the Bespoke Jet™ was designed with endurance and efficiency in mind.

Say you’re having guests over and need to clean the entire house in a hurry. The Bespoke Jet™’s detachable, long-lasting battery ensures that you’re always ready, no matter the size of the job. A full charge lets you vacuum for an hour,7 and a detachable battery means that you can double your cleaning time after a quick swap meaning that there is no need to waste time to stop and recharge.

Convenient Accessories To Give Your Spring Cleaning That Extra Shine

There’s nothing like celebrating springtime with a get-together at home with food, drinks and friends  but a spilled drink can put a dampener on any social event. Thanks to the Bespoke Jet™’s Spray Spinning Sweeper,8 you can quickly remove any spills in record time, removing the need for a mop, a bucket or other cleaning tools.

The Bespoke Jet Spray Spinning Sweeper attachment uses dual spinning wet pads that rotate 260 times a minute to clean hard floors by quickly picking up spills while getting rid of germs when paired with reusable anti-bacterial microfiber pads.9 Its built-in water tank can also help with any stickier spills.

Furthermore, if you’re not sure how to go about cleaning up a mess with your Bespoke Jet™, its built-in LCD Digital Display offers you all the information you need at a glance. The intuitive icons on the display not only alert you to a problem, but also guide you through the solution, whether it’s a clog in the system, objects stuck in the brush, or a missing filter. Featuring support for 28 languages, you can also keep track of the suction levels you’re using and even the remaining battery power.

In order to master your spring cleaning this season, ensure you have all your bases covered with the versatile Bespoke Jet™ vacuum, designed with Samsung innovations to make it the perfect tool for your cleaning.

This means that the promising chipset will be paired with a 6. 7″ 120 Hz AMOLED display (FHD+) and a fast-charging 4,500 mAh battery. 150W fast, if the leaks are correct (the Neo also has a 5,000 mAh/80W version). The phone should have a 50 MP main camera (with OIS) and 8 MP ultra wide on the back, plus a 16 MP selfie camera on the front. A classic OnePlus feature – the alert slider – will not be present, rumors claim.

As for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G (“Ace”), its catchy name will be paired with a Snapdragon 695, replacing the Dimensity 900 of the regular Nord CE 2. Other changes include a 6. 58″ IPS LCD (120 Hz) instead of the 6. 43″ AMOLED (90 Hz) and dropping the 8 MP ultra wide camera, leaving only a 64 MP main module and two 2 MP helpers on the back.

Certifications also revealed the battery spec – 4,500 mAh capacity, 33W fast charging (down from 65W). This sounds like a particular Realme phone, the RMX3574, which we’ve seen on TENAA and expect to launch as one of the Realme Q5 models coming later this month.

Samsung Joins Forces With Industry Leaders To Advance 5G vRAN Ecosystem

Samsung Joins Forces With Industry Leaders To Advance 5G vRAN Ecosystem – Samsung Global Newsroom

Samsung and other technology leaders — Dell, HPE, Intel, Red Hat and Wind River — join to create collaborative ecosystem for 5G vRAN innovation

Samsung continues to build momentum in vRAN leadership, as the only major network vendor that has conducted vRAN commercial deployments with Tier One operators in North America, Europe and Asia

Samsung Electronics today announced it continues to collaborate with industry-leading innovators — including providers of chipsets, cloud platforms and servers — to expand the 5G vRAN ecosystem. This is an effort to drive multiparty collaboration and innovation for the advancement of software-based networks. This ecosystem will allow the parties to continue working together towards vRAN’s scalable and flexible future. It is expected that the network will deliver carrier-grade reliability, management, performance, and stability.

Samsung is the global leader in the fully-virtualized 5G RAN market. 1 The company’s achievement was driven by its 5G vRAN solution, which has been deployed around the world, making Samsung the only major network vendor to have delivered fully-virtualized commercial RAN deployments in North America, Europe and Asia.

Samsung delivered its 5G vRAN solutions for a large-scale commercial network service in the U.S. that launched in December 2020, providing reliable mobile services to millions of users. The company continues to expand its 5G vRAN footprint, with recent milestones including:

  • Achieved 2. 25Gbps on a single user device with dual connectivity using vRAN and Massive MIMO radios on C-band spectrum in June 2021
  • Successfully launched commercial vRAN over C-band using 64T64R Massive MIMO radios in the U.S. in January 2022
  • Switched on the UK’s first 5G Open RAN site and the world’s first 5G Standalone (SA) Open RAN site in Japan — both powered by Samsung’s vRAN

Samsung’s commercially-proven network solutions range from traditional RAN to virtualized RAN to Open RAN — supporting operators’ 5G path of choice. To advance virtualization and openness, Samsung’s 5G vRAN splits the baseband functions into a fully disaggregated virtualized Distributed Unit (vDU) and virtualized Central Unit (vCU). The key to this disaggregated architecture is that the RAN software is separated from customized hardware and runs on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) servers. Samsung’s vRAN also supports O-RAN specifications, “opening up” interfaces between baseband unit and radios, allowing integration from different vendors.

“While many vendors claim they support Open RAN by starting with the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC), in reality, this is still far from commercialization in large-scale networks and sidesteps the most important part of the Open RAN revolution — which starts from the disaggregation of hardware and software in the baseband, and also involves opening of the fronthaul,” said Woojune Kim, Executive Vice President, Head of Global Sales & Marketing, Networks Business at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung’s vRAN solution completely disaggregates hardware and software within the baseband and supports the open fronthaul interface. The company’s O-RAN compliant 5G vRAN solutions are deployed commercially in Japan and U.K. networks, offering seamless integration with other vendors’ radios.

Added Kim: “What differentiates Samsung is a combination of consistent innovation and large-scale commercial experience with leading Tier One operators around the world. We have been able to lead the development of vRAN/Open RAN past lab trials and field trials and into commercial markets. Now, the creation of this vRAN ecosystem will drive innovation to the next level, unlocking numerous opportunities ahead for network industry players and helping operators scale their businesses.”

Innovating Together for Success

As a leader and pioneer in vRAN technology Samsung brought together many companies to collaborate in this ecosystem, including Dell, HPE and Intel. Samsung has tested and validated interoperability with each company platform, which collectively holds a comprehensive view of the network evolution at every step of the development process. The ecosystem will help in the preparation for commercial deployments, including conducting various activities in Samsung’s lab — aligning solution roadmaps from multiple vendors, fostering a fully interoperable approach to vRAN and leading the design process of an end-to-end vRAN solution.

Companies joining this vRAN ecosystem include:

Wind River

Wind River Studio provides a fully cloud-native, Kubernetes- and container-based architecture, based on open source, for the development, deployment, operations and servicing of distributed edge networks at scale. It delivers a foundation for a geographically distributed managed solution able to simplify Day 1 and Day 2 operations by providing single-pane-of-glass (SPoG), zero-touch automated management of thousands of nodes, no matter their physical location. Studio addresses the challenges associated with managing a distributed cloud-native vRAN network infrastructure. This will provide traditional RAN performance for a vRAN deployment.

Together with Samsung, Wind River can provide flexible, secure, reliable and ultra-low latency solutions that extend across the 5G cloud core and edge to support new use cases in an increasingly intelligent systems world.”

Samsung continues to expand its ecosystem with additional partners with industry-leading expertise in order to meet operator needs for more flexible and scalable networks.
