Xiaomi 12 Lite full specs leak

Xiaomi 12 Lite full specs leak

Xiaomi has already released three members of its latest flagship family: the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12X. However, this line is sure to grow in the future, with a much-rumored 12 Ultra, and another model that could actually become official before that: the Xiaomi 12 Lite.

As the name implies, this would be a successor to last year’s Mi 11 Lite 5G and 11 Lite 5G NE, although upgrades compared to the latter definitely won’t be plenty. The previously leaked renders you can see below suggest a Xiaomi 12-like design, and a curved screen (which the 2021 models didn’t have).

Xiaomi 12 Lite full specs leak

Additionally, the 6. 55″ FHD+ AMOLED panel will have 120 Hz refresh rate, according to a new leak today, and that’s a jump up from the 11 Lite 5G NE’s 90 Hz. The battery has also been enlarged, now 4,500 mAh with 67W fast charging, up from 4,250 mAh with 33W support on last year’s models.

Otherwise, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is basically a Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, with the same Snapdragon 778G chipset, 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, 64 MP main camera with OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, and 5 MP macro cam.

The fingerprint sensor will be under-display this time around and not side-mounted, which may count as an upgrade or downgrade depending on which you prefer. Weirdly enough, the 12 Lite’s selfie snapper is 16 MP, down from 20 MP on its predecessor. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is said to launch running Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top.

System helps the company adapt to rapidly changing management environments

Samsung Electronics today announced that the company successfully applied N-ERP, the next-generation ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning1) system in its 120 offices across the world.

ERP is a software system that takes care of a company’s entire business, including processes in finance, human resources, manufacturing, supply chain, services, procurement and more. Samsung SDS and SAP collaborated to create N-ERP, a platform that will support its next 10 years of innovation.

The N-ERP allows for innovation in accordance with current business strategies. For instance, various sales-related systems, once operated separately, have been integrated into a single system that supports multiple business convergence strategies, such as hardware & software product bundling and omni-channel operation. For efficient collaboration between production and logistic partners, professional solutions such as Transportation Management, Extended Warehouse Management, and Supply Chain Collaboration were all incorporated into one system.

In addition, Samsung has adopted the latest in-memory DB, which integrates and manages data storing and operation processes in the DB server memory. It also allows for scale-out architecture that can accommodate large data sets and rising demands for data analysis.

The N-ERP not only supports business innovation, but helps employees to focus on the most important responsibilities. The use of automated technologies like Robotic Process Automation, Optical Character Recognition and machine learning software infrastructures can help reduce manual labor.

Three Key Features of Neo QLED 8K — Graphically Explained

Three Key Features of Neo QLED 8K — Graphically Explained – Samsung Global Newsroom

Samsung is globally known for pioneering TV technology, each year aiming to improve the picture quality with the latest Neo QLED 8K and the state-of-the-art MICRO LED. Whether it’s backlight control and contrast levels or calibration and depth enhancing, all of Samsung’s features work collectively to present pristine image quality.

This year’s Neo QLED 8K lineup includes features that produce the most “real life” images yet, taking its picture quality to another level. Between the updated Neural Quantum Processor 8K, the new AI upscaling feature and the new calibration app, the consumers’ on-screen experience becomes a true reality, allowing them to easily manage their on-screen experience in a much more personal manner.

To fully grasp the technologies and features behind the 2022 Neo QLED 8K, Samsung Newsroom is showcasing them in a dynamic graphic format for easy comprehension.

14-bit Contrast Mapping

The 2022 Neo QLED 8K panels are built to provide extreme details in all types of scenes with the newly added 14-bit contrast mapping, building on top of the existing 12-bit control offered in 2021. The result is a new 8K screen that is capable of showing extraordinary picture quality with more contrast and control over details. The contrast and difference in detail are evident between last year’s model and this year’s Neo QLED 8K. Even with similar specs, such as Mini LEDs and dimming zones, the 2022 Neo QLED 8K allows us to be aware of intricate scenes and details that weren’t recognizable before. As shown above, 14-bit contrast mapping allows us to see the fine details on the surface of the water as well as the granular texture of the rocks under water.

Real Depth Enhancer

When the eyes are focused on an object, they focus on its details, sharpness and clarity. The 2022 Samsung Neo QLED 8K’s Neural Quantum Processor 8K acts quite similarly through its new feature, the Real Depth Enhancer, which increases overall contrast and definition of the object creating a greater sense of depth and making the images pop.

As you can see in this example, the Real Depth Enhancer naturally guides the consumers’ eyes to focus on the object in front of them, creating depth and allowing the rhinoceros to truly stand out from the background.

Smart Calibration

With a new year of image quality improvements, comes a new sense of control for Samsung Neo QLED 8K. Now, viewers can calibrate and optimize their display from the menu bar or through the Smart Calibration app on their smartphone. 1 With Basic Mode, the app offers calibrated images in 30 seconds, while Professional Mode offers thorough image calibration and optimization within 5 to 8 minutes. Both modes require a simple one-step process from the users’ part to optimize the on-screen image. As shown here, the Professional Mode’s enhancement is very apparent, allowing Neo QLED 8K viewers to take advantage of its premium hardware and AI upscaling technology.

1 Requires Galaxy S, Note, Z Flip or Z Fold series models released after January 2019, or an iPhone that supports Face ID. Supported models may differ depending on the situation. For more information, please check the product manual at samsung.com/support.

Samsung’s EYELIKE(tm) Fundus Camera Powers Technology To Protect People and the Planet

Samsung’s EYELIKE(tm) Fundus Camera Powers Technology To Protect People and the Planet – Samsung Global Newsroom

Samsung Electronics demonstrates a year’s worth of improvements in providing greater access to eyecare in India, Morocco and Papua New Guinea by upcycling Galaxy technology

The theme of this year’s World Health Day — Our Planet, Our Health — demonstrates the understanding that human health is deeply interconnected with environmental health. Through the Galaxy Upcycling program, Samsung Electronics has been on a mission to develop innovative, sustainable practices that not only preserve the planet’s resources but also bridge barriers to accessible and affordable health care.

In recognition of World Health Day, Samsung Newsroom is looking back at the first year of the program’s implementation, which has upcycled hundreds of secondhand Galaxy devices and provided basic eye care for over 3,000 patients in Morocco, India and Papua New Guinea.

Upcycling Galaxy Technology Into Diagnosis Cameras

Globally, 1. 1 billion people suffer from vision loss — 90% of which live in low- and middle-income countries and lack access to affordable and quality eye health care. Samsung has teamed up with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness and Yonsei University Health System to make old Galaxy technology medical diagnostic cameras. These fundus cameras allow medical professionals and patients to be screened for potential blindness.

” We are proud to have our Samsung team infuse upcycled tech to diagnose visual impairments in patients using the EYELIKE(tm platform.” said Dr. Aloknath De Executive Consulting Director Open Innovation at Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore.

Establishing Accessible Eye Care Services in Morocco

Since the introduction of EYELIKE(tm) in Morocco, Samsung has partnered with Global Care and 21 other organizations — including public health centers and private clinics — to repurpose 60 units of older smartphones into the EYELIKE(tm) Fundus Camera.

“In Morocco we are short of medical staff and equipment for the eye, so EYELIKE(tm), I believe, will provide huge benefits, especially to those who live in rural areas,” stated Mohcine AitHida, an optician.

Local optometrists have been using the camera to screen over 2,028 patients and provide post-diagnosis care, including prescribing glasses for 128 people, scheduling follow-up appointments with 205 people and connecting 50 people to eye hospitals for additional medical treatment.

Conducting Patient Outreach Programs in India

Recognizing that blindness is a prevailing problem in India, Samsung has upcycled nearly 200 units of secondhand smartphones and provided them to local hospitals. Jamuna Prasad, a patient who had been prescribed glasses over the past year for declining vision, has found this innovative solution to be an important breakthrough. He was finally diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy after his eyes were examined by the EYELIKE(tm), Fundus Camera at Sitapur Eye Hospital. According to his optometrists, Jamuna’s eyesight has been improving ever since.

However, patients in rural areas may not have access to the same vision centers as Jamuna Prasad. Optometrists are able to travel to rural villages to screen potential patients for eye disease thanks to their portable cameras. As a result of the EYELIKE(tm) Fundus Camera, over 1,000 patients in India have received screenings through both local medical institutions and outreach programs.

Training Medical Staff in Papua New Guinea

Retinal diseases are often difficult to treat in Papua New Guinea. Many health facilities struggle to locate trained eye doctors. The country’s high rate of blindness only makes this situation worse. For a population of over 9 million, there are only 14 trained ophthalmologists and three fundus cameras nationwide.

” “We are currently training doctors in hopes that they can help diagnose patients nationally and improve people’s understanding of their illnesses.” We’re training doctors to help them diagnose and understand the diseases they suffer .”

.

The EYELIKE(tm), a program that trains doctors, nurses, and clinic personnel in rural areas, is helping to close the gap in health equity by screening patients with the device. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions causing a delay in patient screenings, Dr. Garap looks forward to resuming these screenings this year. She hopes to dispatch additional trainers to rural communities to provide staff with further training, in addition to conducting research on rare eye disorders such as Eales disease with the EYELIKE(tm) devices.

Advancing Samsung’s Sustainability Vision

Samsung intends to increase this collaboration as part of its mission of harnessing technology to benefit humanity. This partnership will include continuous technical support and open cooperation to ensure that patients are screened and trained throughout the country.

Samsung is dedicated to delivering innovative technologies that help build a better future and empower users to adopt more sustainable practices. Through Galaxy for the Planet, Samsung is taking concrete actions to lower our environmental footprint and transform consumer experiences. EYELIKE(tm) specifically helps Samsung minimize its environmental impact by supporting its goal to achieve zero waste to landfills and reduce e-waste by 2025.

The Magic Bridge merges your Apple Keyboard and Trackpad into one ‘super-keyboard’

The Magic Bridge merges your Apple Keyboard and Trackpad into one ‘super-keyboard’

Could it be a coincidence that the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad are exactly the same height? They look, as Twelve South rightfully points out, like they were “separated at birth”, like two siblings longing for each other. The Magic Bridge fulfills that wish, uniting the two long-lost siblings and putting them side by side.

Melodrama aside. The Magic Bridge is a very clever device. It does much more than simply fix your trackpad to the keyboard. It helps to declutter your workspace, by “bridging” the space between your trackpad and keyboard, so that they aren’t cluttering your desk. You can also carry the devices around, place them on your coffee table or your lap, and then switch between Apple devices. Twelve South calls it the ultimate control station.

The Magic Bridge comes with a clever ambidextrous design that lets you mount your trackpad either side of your keyboard, depending on whether you’re right or left-handed. All you really have to do is slide the keyboard and trackpad into the Magic Bridge, and they fit in perfectly like jigsaw puzzle pieces, while the Magic Bridge’s anti-skid base ensures your control station doesn’t slip around while you work. The accessory itself is designed from polycarbonate, making it lightweight yet tough, and ensuring it works seamlessly with your Apple devices, without blocking any Bluetooth signals.

The Magic Bridge comes in black or white, and in two sizes that accommodate both the regular Magic Keyboard as well as the larger Magic Keyboard with the attached numpad. Each Magic Bridge sports cutouts on the back – handy for letting you access the switches on your keyboard or trackpad, or plug charging cables in without needing to remove your gadgets from their outer cover. If you do need to take out your trackpad or keyboard, the holes at the bottom allow you to slide your thumb into the Magic Bridge and pull your peripheral out.

Introducing Samsung’s Game-Changing DDR5 Solution

Introducing Samsung’s Game-Changing DDR5 Solution – Samsung Global Newsroom

The age of DDR5 has arrived. From 5G and artificial intelligence (AI) to metaverse and augmented reality (AR), high-performance computing is pushing the limits of server environments to process massive amounts of data at extremely high speeds. Understanding that tech giants the world over are set to add droves of servers to their data centers, Samsung Electronics has developed its DDR5 memory solutions to play a key role in empowering future-oriented industries to perform at their peak.

Future-First Memory Solutions for Data-Driven Innovation

With the development of their DDR5 solution, Samsung, a company known for changing the landscape of the global dynamic random access memory (DRAM) market, has introduced yet another generational shift in the IT industry. Furthermore, following the release earlier this year of CPUs that support DDR5, tremendous change is expected in the computing landscape, too, with growth expected to encompass gaming and mainstream PCs as well.

Compared to its predecessor which hit the market in 2013, DDR4, DDR5 DRAM boasts twice the speed and four times the capacity, at 4800Mpbs and 512GB respectively. 1 This next-generation high-performance memory allows networks to handle the soaring amounts of data generated by cloud computing, AI and autonomous driving systems. Unlike DDR4, DDR5 directly incorporates a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) into a dual in-line memory module (DIMM), resulting in a 30 percent increase in power efficiency on the module level and a more stable power supply.

Data centers are the main users of DDR5, since, in order to work at their full potential, they require low-power, high-performance memory as they consume large amounts of energy to perform operations and keep servers cool. Starting from the third quarter of this year, existing DRAMs for servers are set to steadily be replaced by DDR5, a shift that could help data centers stay cost-efficient and encourage sustainable, eco-friendly development.

Going beyond the performance limitations of existing DRAMs, DDR5 will be pivotal in leading data-driven innovation in terms of speed, capacity and eco-friendliness. In order to learn more about the new world DDR5 is helping to build, take a look at the video below.

1 These figures concern modules for servers.
