Realme C35 and C31 reach the UK, a small discount makes them even cheaper

The Realme C35 and C31 continue their world tour – and unlike their arrival in India, they traveled together this time. Starting today, the two phones are available in the UK and they are light on the wallet too.

The Realme C35 is available in two configurations – 4/64 GB for PS150 and 4/128 GB for PS170. However, there is a flash sale promo (April 12 to April 18), which knocks PS10 off the base version and PS20 for the one with double the storage. You can can find it on the company’s official web store.

Highlights: Realme C35 * Realme C31

The Realme C31 comes in only one configuration – 4/64 GB – priced at PS130 normally, minus PS10 during the promo. Here it is on Realme.com.

Comparing the two models reveals that the C35 has an FHD+ display vs. HD+ and a better 50 MP camera (vs. 13 MP), plus 18W charging for the 5,000 mAh battery. Whether these things are worth the extra PS20 that the C35 costs over the C31 is up to you.

If you are in Europe, namely Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg, you will be able to grab two Realme’s. Here’s a link for the C35 (EUR180 for 4/64 GB and EUR200 4/128 GB) and for the C31 (EUR140 for 3/32 GB and EUR160 for 4/64 GB). Shipping times vary, but are usually 1-3 days.

Elden Ring looks precious as an isometric RPG

Elden Ring looks precious as an isometric RPG

I’m not sure how it would play, but with the extreme camera angle that YouTuber Flurdeh has applied here, Elden Ring looks a whole lot less intimidating. This looks almost like miniatures being brought to life in extremely detailed RPG tabletop scenes.

Flurdeh’s tilt-shift effect makes huge games seem precious. In the past year they’ve done The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 and, yes, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Before Elden Ring, God of War was the most recent adventure to get the treatment. This tilt-shift is mostly an adjustment to the depth of field and other settings in order to create the toyland effect. The photo mode toolkit used comes courtesy of Frans Bouma.

This means the Lands Between’s most dreary, forbidding aspect is its music selection. It should inspire you to take Elden Ring a closer look. This is a difficult game. The guides section of Polygon has tons of information for those new to the game, particularly those with no experience in Souls.

This modular power tool system is user-centered to adapt to changing needs

Atlas is a user-centered power tool system meant to adapt to changing needs through a modular design.

As technology advances, the expectations of consumers become more demanding. Technology has made instant gratification the standard, turning many of us onto modular designs that are meant to adapt to our changing needs.

Designer: Peter Wilden

Within the scope of smart technology, the transition between demand and gratification really can be instant. It gets a bit blurry when it comes to manual devices like power tools. Designed by Peter Wilden, Atlas is a modular, user-centered power tool system designed to adapt to users’ changing needs.

The concept behind many modular designs is to make the experience of operating devices more individualized for each user. Through modular designs, users can change the purpose of the device to accommodate their needs.

Atlas is comprised of several different modules, each of which carries its own function and form. Starting out with the handlebar, users can switch out different power tool heads to finish different tasks.

“The modular product structure offers the user a highly individualized product system that represents the specific needs of a wide range of applications in the private and professional sectors,” Wilden goes on to describe, “At the same time the focus is on configuration, adaptability, and reparability of product and components.”

Different parameters restrict the ways we interact with power tools–“different use cases, various levels of knowledge, competence, and usage, body specifications” are among the many parameters that keep us from confidently applying power tools to different tasks. Atlas is designed to be an interchangeable power tool that anybody can use, with any level of experience.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes introduces the player character — and it’s not who you think

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes introduces the player character — and it’s not who you think

A new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes reveals the game’s player character — and it’s not the main protagonist from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the main game that the musou spinoff is based on. Instead of silent mercenary Byleth, players assume the role of Shez, who is also a mercenary, albeit one who seems a little more smart-mouthed than Byleth.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes takes place in the same world as Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and similarly the trailer reveals that players will have to pick one of three paths. However, there are some key differences in Three Hopes — for one, the characters now sport different hairstyles. The names of the paths are also slightly different. Unlike the main game, which uses the former school as a stronghold in between battles, most of Three Hopes’ downtime seems to take place in a battlefield campground. It’s likely that this tells the story of one of the factions that Byleth didn’t side with in the main game. Could this be a chance at a good ending, where no one dies, and everyone joins together to defeat the actual big bad? Hey, the Fire Emblem: Fates DLC kinda did it, so why not?

Whatever the case, it appears that Byleth will be on the opposing side to Shez, and the two are destined to cross blades. The game comes out for Nintendo Switch on June 24, which gives me enough time to do the mental calculus and figure out if my old version of Byleth can still be married to Dimitri, if I am playing a totally new character this time.

Bugsnax comes to Switch, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass in April

Bugsnax comes to Switch, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass in April

A major, free content update for Bugsnax, the charming puzzle-adventure game set on an island filled with bugs made of food, is coming to the game on April 28, developer Young Horses announced Tuesday. Called The Isle of Bigsnax, the add-on for the original Bugsnax will send players to a new island teeming with new food-bug-things to catch.

Bugsnax and its free update are also coming to new platforms: Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game’s also coming to Steam. (Bugsnax was exclusive to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store when it launched in 2020.)

The new versions of Bugsnax will cost $24.99 at launch, thanks to a 20% discount. Game Pass subscribers will get day-one access to Bugsnax on Xbox platforms, Windows PC, and Cloud.

Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax will add a new landmass to the main game. That new habitat will have all-new quests, puzzles, and Bugsnax to discover. New to the game will be creatures like the Cellystix, a stick bug made of celery; the Cheddorb, a rolling port wine cheeseball; Bunger Royale, an oversized Bunger with tater tots for limbs; Tikkada Masala, a cicada with wings made of naan; Spaghider, an eight-legged mass of pasta; and other fun mashups of snacks and bugs.

Young Horses says players can expect three to four hours of new game content in The Isle of Bigsnax, with voice actors Yuri Lowenthal, Casey Mongillo, Debra Wilson, and Haviland Stillwell returning to provide new quests and dialogue. Bugsnax’s April update also means additional features for the main game, including a new letter system where island residents will mail you challenges. Complete those challenges to earn gifts, which players can use to decorate their personalized hut, a living and storage space. Console players will also get access to fast travel.

Better still, the Bugsnax of Bugsnax are also getting a major upgrade: the ability to wear hats. These hat-adorned creatures are the Shiny Pokémon of the Bugsnax world, Young Horses says.

You can see more of Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax in the release date announcement trailer above.

nubia Red Magic 7 Pro goes global with UDC, dedicated gaming chip

nubia Red Magic 7 Pro goes global with UDC, dedicated gaming chip

The nubia Red Magic 7 was introduced in February and the vanilla phone went for sale around the world just days after the launch. Now we get to welcome the nubia Red Magic 7 Pro and its under-display camera to the global scene.

The gaming brand is going all-in on performance with the Red Magic 7 Pro – you get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with whopping 16GB RAM. The dedicated gaming chip is called Red Core 1 and takes care of audio, RGB lighting and haptic feedback, so the main chipset can focus on what it does best – games.

Hard gaming means lots of heat, so nubia implemented nine different layers of heat dissipation materials, including a 4,124 sq.mm. vapor chamber dissipation plate. This Red Magic 7 Pro phone has a new turbofan that can reach 20,000 rpm while being “super quiet”.

Our Oppo Find X5 video review is out

Our Oppo Find X5 video review is out

Oppo’s Find X5 is the direct sequel to last year’s Find X3 and as such brings similar specifications to it Pro sibling though with some omissions. With our Find X5 written review out the way, we now bring you the video version which recaps the pros and cons of the device and how it fared in our testing.

Find X5 brings a curved 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It’s not an LTPO panel like last year meaning the refresh rate does not offer granular control. The phone brings a premium glass and metal construction with a unique camera cutout that tapers upwards.

The Snapdragon 888 is last year’s flagship chipset but it performs admirably here. The 4,800 mAh battery delivered a 108-hour battery endurance rating which is quite good and you do get 80W fast charging with a full charge taking 42 minutes. The camera setup on the X5 is largely carried over from last year’s Find X3 series with a 50MP main cam, 13MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrwaide snapper.

Our Oppo Find X5 video review is out

Shots coming from main cam are decent though the quality is a tier below flagships from competitors. The telephoto module captures good detail but tends to darken images while the ultrawide snapper can also serve as a macro cam thanks to its autofocus.
