Samsung Galaxy S10 and Note10 series starts receiving One UI 4. 1

The Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e and also the S10 5G are now receiving One UI 4. 1 (based on Android 12). The three phones originally arrived in early 2019 with Android 9 and the original One UI. They are not alone either as Samsung’s other 2019 flagships are getting updated too.

The Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ launched in mid-2019, also with Android 9 and an improved One UI 1.5. Last December the S10 series and the Note10 series got up to Android 12 with One UI 4.0.

The update for the Notes is a fairly hefty 1,049 MB and brings changes to multiple Samsung apps. It has a firmware version of N976BXXU7HVC6 and includes the March 1 security patch. The S10 updates also bring the March patch.

Note that we haven’t seen any mention of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite nor the Galaxy Note10 Lite when it comes to the 4. 1 update. As for newer models, the Galaxy Note20 models started receiving One UI 4. 1 last week.

Realme C31 entry-level smartphone leaks

Realme launched the cheap C35 smartphone two weeks ago, but it appears to be working on an even more affordable solution, called Realme C31. Key specs of the phone leaked online, revealing a Unisoc T612 chipet, three cameras on the back and a big battery.

The Realme C31 is said to have a 6. 5″ LCD with HD+ resolution and plain old 60Hz refresh rate. The report claimed it will have 400 nits max brightness and an 88. 7% screen-to-body ratio.

The Unisoc chipset will be coupled with either 3GB RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB/64GB.

The Realme C31 will have a 13MP f/2. 2 main camera and a couple of 2MP cameras for macro and black and depth data. The selfie shooter, mounted on a waterdrop notch will have 5MP sensor.

On the upside the Realme C31 will have an ample 5,000mAh battery. Sadly, it’s charged over an ancient microUSB and at rates not exceeding 10W at that.

Leaked screenshots show Google Wear OS 3 redesign

Leaked screenshots show Google Wear OS 3 redesign

Samsung abandoned its own Tizen OS in favor of Google’s Wear OS 3 for the Galaxy Watch4 generation. However, the OS itself is in a curious position – we rarely get to see the OS in its natural form and then mostly in leaks. One UI is used on Samsung Galaxy watches.

Several screenshots have leaked of Wear OS 3 again, showing minor changes from older versions. Naturally, these changes push the looks of the software closer towards Android 12 and the Material You design, as can be seen in the Google Assistant screenshot.

The step counter’s new icon suggests integration with Fitbit. This was also seen in marketing images of the Google Pixel Watch, which is yet to made official after months of leaks and rumors.

Next up, Messages. The screen shows your user avatar, last contact time, and a few of the most recent messages. The main screen in the Messages app allows you to start a new conversation and view the latest chats.

A few more screenshots show off the Next event tile, YouTube Music and Google Pay. Note that the previous screenshots (from December) came from an emulator and the design has changed since then. These new ones are sourced from the latest version of the Wear OS companion app.

The Google Pixel Watch may be the first to run a clean Wear OS 3. It will probably launch alongside the Pixel 6a at the end of May.

iPhone 14 Pro schematics reveal thicker body, two screen cutouts

iPhone 14 Pro schematics reveal thicker body, two screen cutouts

Alleged iPhone 14 Pro renders from a few days ago revealed a familiar design with an overhauled display appearance. The CAD-based renders showed a pill-shaped cutout for the Face ID sensors and another hole for the front-facing camera. The current schematics shared on Weibo seem to be in line with that earlier leak.

In addition to the cutouts, the image reveals all of the device’s dimensions. The thickness, for example, is said to be 7. 85mm which is a tad higher than the 7. 65mm profile on the iPhone 14 Pro. The new cutouts will not add much screen real estate to the iPhone’s notch, according to its appearance. However, it’s too early to know.

The rest of the design traits seem to be unchanged compared to the current iPhone 13 generation. The punch-hole selfie design is only available to Pro Series models, while standard and mini versions will continue using a notch.

Poco X4 Pro 5G’s India launch set for March 28

Poco X4 Pro 5G’s India launch set for March 28

Xiaomi’s Poco unveiled the Poco M4 Pro and Poco X4 Pro 5G last month. The M4 Pro is already available in India, and today the company announced that the X4 Pro 5G will make its debut in the Asian country next week – on March 28.

The event will start at 12PM local time, and the Poco X4 Pro 5G will be sold through Flipkart. It’s unclear if the Indian Poco X4 Pro 5G will share the rest of the specs with its global counterpart or we are looking at more differences. We’ll likely find that out in the days leading to the March 28 event. In the meantime, you can check out our first impressions of the Poco X4 Pro 5G’s international variant here.

ZTE Axon 40 Pro leaks on TENAA, looks identical to nubia Z40 Pro

ZTE Axon 40 Pro leaks on TENAA, looks identical to nubia Z40 Pro

The nubia Z40 Pro was announced back in February, and now ZTE is preparing to relaunch the phone, this time under its own Axon brand. The phone with model number A2023H appeared on TENAA with a full specs sheet and photos, confirming it is the same device with the same camera design and even the same dimensions.

ZTE Axon 40 Pro leaks on TENAA, looks identical to nubia Z40 Pro

The phone, likely to be named Axon 40 Pro, has a 3GHz CPU, which is most likely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which has a 2. 995GHz prime core. RAM is 8GB, 12GB or 16GB, while storage comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB flavors.

Even the cameras resolutions listed – 64MP, 50MP and 8MP – match what the Z40 Pro has.

The screen is a 6. 67″ OLED, while the battery is listed with its 4,900mAh charge, which is the minimal one. This means the Axon 40 Pro will have a magnetic charging edition like the nubia Z40 Pro as that one has a smaller 4,600 mAh cell.

This doesn’t mean that ZTE has stopped reading Xiaomi’s books and is now launching two phones in different portfolios. The Axon 30 Ultra was nearly identical with the nubia Z30 Pro, with minor differences size-wise.

The Redmi K50 lineup arrived last week, and today it was the first sale of the duo. The Xiaomi brand sold 330,000 units of the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro phones in just five minutes, according to the official Weibo page of Redmi.

Redmi K50 series sells in 330,000 units

The amount includes four variants – the two phones with two memory options a piece. It is 10% better than the sales of the predecessor series – the Redmi K40, which was sold in three versions with even more RAM+storage options.

Both phones come in the same body, even have the same weight, despite some major differences. The K50 Pro has a Dimensity 9000 chipset, a 108MP main camera and 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The K50 brings a more affordable price tag, and for that Xiaomi downgraded the chip to Dimensity 8100, the camera to 48MP, and the charging to “just” 67W. However the battery capacity increased to 5,500mAh.

Next sale in China is scheduled for next Tuesday, and we still have no word when the series will escape the domestic market.
